  Please do not give your business to this store. On July 23rd, I visited the King and Farewell Pet Valu in the evening and was appalled to find a female syrian hamster who had just had a litter in her aquarium. This is a problem because males and females need to be promptly separated. There were also two adolescent males and one young pup in the aquarium as well. The female was in visible distress and was separated from her babies, only a day or two old, which will most likely die within hours due to lack of warmth, milk, and possible attack from the males or pup. When I informed the store owner, he stated that "they were fine," which is clearly untrue and showed no interest in the well being of his livestock. When informed that I intended to report him to the SPCA, he reacted non-chalantly and clearly has these threats often. Other animals, including the fish, were mislabelled, in dirty aquariums which had little or no maintenance, and appeared ill. Unless you want a possibly inbred or ill animal which has not been socialized or taken care of, I would not buy from this store.
